The school received anonymous tips about alleged sexual activity involving a teacher and a student on March 7, according to Daily News Record.
Officials at the school then handed the case over to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. In 2010, the school's PE teacher and assistant football coach was charged with multiple felonies.
Three days later, she invited the victim to her home again, and they had sex in her upstairs bedroom, according to court documents.
The teacher, who was in her first year at the school, taught introduction to foods and child development. Bruce Harman later pleaded guilty to felony use of electronic means to solicit a minor.
Spotswood High School, founded in 1973, has an enrollment of around 700 pupils.
School administrators then notified the Indiana Department of Child Services and police.
Hagan was placed on suspension and resigned as an employee of the school district.
